Punta Ala is a small hamlet located between the cities of Follonica and Grosseto, more precisely on the state road 322.
It looks like a modern seaside resort mainly characterized by its well-equipped tourist port.
The port area is equipped with numerous services and activities that are useful and interesting for citizens and tourists; the whole is surrounded by numerous 60s-style residences that enrich the entire provincial road.
Punta Ala has a strong tradition, sailing, it is no coincidence that it is the headquarters of the “Yacht Club Punta Ala”, founded in 1976, and has also played a fundamental role in the “Luna Rossa” project, an Italian boat that has participated in 4 editions of the Louis Vuitton Cup and the “American Cup” in 2000.
The hamlet is also known for having one of the largest golf courses in the whole province, the main headquarters of the Punta Ala Golf Club, founded in 1964, and the Libero Punta Ala football club.
