Defined as one of the most beautiful squares in Tuscany, Piazza Grande is the heart of the city of Arezzo. The square is made up of buildings from different periods which make the environment suggestive and rich. Every year, in June and September, the historical event “la Giostra del Saracino” is presented, which recalls the ancient medieval chivalrous competition, while every first weekend of the month the “Fiera Antiquaria” is staged, an important antiques market which has been taking place since 1968.
